"The big day for our biggest kid. She received the sweetest bear from The Caden Project over the weekend. This little bear means so much to her, arriving just in time for surgery!! She has not let go of him since he arrived on our doorstep. They’ve ‘bonded’ as she talks to him and told him all her fears about today and he has really lifted a lot of her anxiety and nerves going into surgery. He masked up for the hospital visit today with us and he was able to go back into the OR with her for support!! I got sent to the waiting room. Our Caden bear has been such a special gift!

Her Caden Bear will be going to the next x-rays and surgery with her as well! It's had a big impact on her moods and even her attitude being ready to go back in for surgery #2."

"Brodie was 6 years old when he met his Best Caden Bear friend, he was diagnosed in March 2021 with a malignant brain tumor. Caden Bear showed up at our door and was ready to be the most loyal bear friend he could be through these very hard days! Brodie underwent a 20 hour brain resection where the drs were able to get 60% of the tumor. Caden bear was there beside Brodie every step of the way, providing him with snuggles when it was time to do the scary things (shots, ivs, medication time, physical therapy and he even participated in occupational therapy with his Bud Brodie from time to time. No matter what his Caden bear was there and he brought smiles on the face of Brodie in what seemed like some of the darkest days!!

The Caden Project is very special to our family because of the love and encouragement it brought to not only our child but to our family as well! We wanted every sick child we knew to have a Caden bear after we felt all the love and support ours brought to Brodie. All it took was one message letting them know we knew a child and they had them a bear as quickly as they could, she had even brought a whole bag to the hospital for me when I asked her if we could give some to the kids on the ICU floor where Brodie was. We were unable to give them out that time due to Covid but The Caden Project was ready to bless every single sick child!!

We read the book, we learned about who Caden was, we thank the Good Lord for placing families like The Caden Project in our lives. Our bear will FUREVER be part of our family and a piece to our testimony! Brodie turned 7 years old in June and has done amazing, his rescan in August came back stable and he will have next scan in November and one thing I know, his Caden will be there!"

“Anna was four years old and in the middle of a long hospital stay when she received her Caden Bear in 2018. This special gift provided comfort when she was missing home and not feeling well. Since then, Anna’s Caden Bear has become part of every hospital stay – it provides hugs and familiarity when things get a little scary. It’s like bringing a little piece of home with us.

Having a special friend like her Caden Bear has also helped Anna deal with some of the uncomfortable parts of her medical journey; this sweet little stuffed bear has had x-rays, a cast, an IV, and even a feeding tube! Anna says, “My bear makes me brave!”

Our family is very thankful for what the Caden Project does for children. This sweet, simple gift has made a big difference for our daughter.”
